Advocacy Seminars on “The Importance of A Competition Regime “
The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) held two Advocacy Seminars on the 28th and 30th of July 2008, in Bhurban and Karachi , respectively. These were sponsored by DFID and World Bank, as part of the continuous funding support being provided for the Advocacy and Research efforts of the CCP. World renowned Competition Law experts from abroad were invited who shared invaluable insights based on their expertise of the law and their experiences in the competitive environment of their respective regions. The keynote speakers were Mr. Alden F. Abbott , Mr. Alberto Heimler and Mr. Vinod Dhall. The main objective of the Seminars was to enhance awareness among the corporate sector, government and regulatory bodies and the legal community as well as to create better understanding about the law.
